Disregard that black cat. They're bad luck? Oops. I own two. This is not the point.
The point is the excitement, as evidenced by the rampant Miley Cyrus tongue I'm sporting.
And that excitement is because... Drumroll please...
Da dada dum!
Ok, so an 8:30 pace isn't going to shock the world. And it's not even my fastest mile. But considering just a few weeks ago I could barely run a mile without pain, much less run a fast mile...
Well, needless to say, I'm pretty pumped.
I'm still working on building back up to my distances that I'm used to, but getting a little bit of speed back makes me happy, too.
But they are SUPER comfy.
It's definitely taking some getting used to, because these Newton's are A LOT different from any other running shoe I've ever owned.
But I think I like it?
I'll do a review on the shoes a little bit later, once I put some more miles on them. But until then, I'm just gonna live off the high from my fast mile tonight. Which, considering that flat land doesn't exist around my apartment and half of my run was uphill and the other half downhill... I'll take it!
Now I'm gonna go make the other half of a box of pasta...
#runlove, y'all!
