So one thing I constantly get comments on is my abs. And I won't deny it, they're prolly one of my nicer features. Nice abs are one of those things that women are always striving for and I'm fairly lucky in that department. You can hate me all you want, but abs haven't really ever been a struggle for me. But everyone has their strengths and weaknesses. I'm never going to have those slender thighs or that huge rack. My friend Coley has guns like whoa. Some of my other friends ate blessed with... "huge tracts of land." They complain about how they could have abs, but most days I would trade in a heartbeat with them. But that's a story for a different post. :) This one is about abs. Killer abs, actually, and my secret weapon in the quest for abs that can grate cheese.
The Nike Training Club application is my biggest tool in achieving ripped abs. I use it every couple of days and it doesn't take very long but can give you some outstanding abdominal muscles. The app offers a variety of workouts and most require little to no equipment. There are all sorts of different workouts, but I've found that I get my best results with the "Get Focused" workouts that are each 15 minutes long and focus on a particular muscle group.
My favorite of all of these workouts is the Ab Burner workout. And let me tell you, the title is VERY APT. This workout kills me. Every. Single. Time. I have yet to make it through all 15 minutes without taking a mini-breather in the middle of a set. It consists of 1 minute of toe touch crunches, 1 minute of Russian twists, 30 seconds plank, 1 minute side plank (30 each side), 1 minute of Crazy Ivans, and a 30 second rest. You repeat this three times, so the entire workout takes 15 minutes.
