Not much to report this week unfortunately.
I'm actually kind of frustrated, because this was my slowest week and also my lowest mileage.
Stupid knee.
It gets better and I think I'm good to go, and then it starts to act up again.
It has more mood swings than a teenage girl, I swear.
But! There is still a recap to do. It's just kinda boring?

Total miles for the past week: 8.93 miles.
Yet again, I find myself fighting with the Nike Plus website to recognize the Sunday run. This is getting weird. The run gets counted towards my total number of runs, my total mileage, everything. It just doesn't show a bar on the graph. It's them, not me, right?!
Anyways, like I said earlier. Low and Slow. That's what this week was. Still trying to recover from the knee thing and since it's still acting up, it looks like it'll be another low mileage, slow week for me this week.
Monday: 2.79 miles at 10:58
This was my longest run of the whole week. Which isn't saying much. It was a good run though and I was glad I got it in. I hit the trails on Labor Day and took a tumble within the first half mile. I don't think the fall is what caused the knee pain, but it probably didn't help...
Tuesday: 1.01 miles at 11:17
Knee. Hurts. 'Nuff said.
Wednesday: 1.05 miles at 10:58
Yepp, knee still hurts.
Thursday: 1.01 miles at 12:11
I'm begining to think the neighbors are getting sick of my short, predictable runs in front of their houses. But, I talked to the doctor and she cleared me to keep running so long as I restricted how much I was doing... Supposed to go back in a few weeks if it's not better.
Friday: 1.02 miles at 10:46
This run actually felt kinda good! I was very optimistic after this one, thinking my knee was actually getting better. All that ice and ibuprofen was working!
Saturday: 1.01 miles at 11:16
I spend most of the day shopping with my mom, and walking around the mall was NOT a good choice. By the end of the day, my knee was killing me. I still got my run in, but after having felt pretty good Friday, this run was a huge bummer.
Sunday: 1.00 miles at 10:55
I felt bad for my puppies. I usually take at least one, if not both, of them out running with me. And since I'd been shorting my mileage and sticking to the road just in front of my house, I haven't been bringing them along for the run. So they've been cooped up inside a lot. So Sunday I thought my knee felt well enough to head out to the local off-leash area and run the trail there with the dogs. It's a shorter trail, not horribly hilly, and pretty solid ground. But apparently, even those tiny hills were too much for the knee. The dogs still got a good run, but I had to call it quits after my first mile and walk the rest of the way back. SIGH.
Anyways, like I said. LOW and SLOW. This week isn't going to shatter any records or help me reach my goal of 100 miles in September, which is now looking more and more like a pipe dream.
I guess there's always October, right?!?
