I know guys. I'm horrible. Four whole days and no posts. But seriously, I had to work this weekend and between starting work at 6am every day and then fitting in my runs (and life!) Blogging fell by the wayside...
I apologize a million times! But prepare yourself for the onslaught of posting that is going to occur over the next few days. I will make up for my slacking by being an over-achieving blogger this week. :) Promise!
But it's Monday, so weekly re-cap time!

So during the past week, I managed to reach my goal of 17-18 miles! WOOT WOOT! Personal shout out time! (go me... go me...)
Monday: 1.03 miles @ 8:48 pace
Went to Planet Fitness to throw some weights around. After a pretty nice talk with the owner, did a loop around the shopping mall parking lot and got my #runstreak mile in. Reminder to self: Talk to PF guy about setting up a running club. Could be good!
Tuesday: 4.8 miles @ 10:07 pace
B-Double E-Double R-U-N BEERRUN! Thanks to Grand Rapids Marathon and New Holland Brewing and Saucony for putting these on. LOVE THEM! Coley and I had a nice jaunt around the lake and some delicious food at Ucello's afterward. Plus, we won PRIZES!!! Winner, winner!
Wednesday: 1.0 mile @ 9:20 pace
Just an easy recovery run at the neighbors fields with the dogs so they could get in a nice run as well. Rory (My English Pointer) even managed to track down a stray pheasant. Highlight of her day.
Thursday: 1.0 mile @ 9:12 pace
Thursday was a weird one, so I did a lunch time run. (Runch!) Decided I need to do this more often. One mile wasn't too bad and I didn't get overly sweaty. Probably this fall will do it more, as the weather cools down.
Friday: 3.0 miles @ 10:38 pace
Went to a trail in Bryon Center to run for the first time. Used to rollerblade here all the time, but never run. It was great. Took Rory with me and had her run beside me the whole way. She's a puller when you hold the leash, but if you let it just drag behind her, she heels like a champ. Got numerous compliments on how well behaved she was and what a great running partner she must be. They were all correct. :) This was supposed to be a 4 mile run, but I wasn't paying attention and turned around too early, making it only 3 miles...
Saturday: 4.4 miles @ 10:42 pace
So I went back Saturday. I was determined to get the full 4 miles. Can definitely go further, the trail is fabulously long. Plus, after all the compliments on my dog the previous day, these runs are good for my ego. Rory got three more compliments during our run. LOVE IT!!!!
Sunday: 2.9 miles @ 11:32 pace
Went out to do my one mile run around my house. Got into it and said "Eh, why not make it two miles..." Got further into it and said "Well, now that I'm here, it might as well be three."
This is the secret of the #runstreak people! It forces you out the door. When you don't want to run but you end up going and deciding that you can do more than your lazy butt thought you could.
LOVE. #runstreak may be
